NEW YORK –
Three retail buying groups were busy in late March, with Home Technology Specialists of America (HTSA) and Azione Unlimited adding members and BrandSource developing developed a private- label credit card program.
HTSA, which is holding its spring meeting at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront hotel in California April 10-12, added its 64th member, Indianapolis-area systems integrator Digitech Custom Audio & Video.
The 23-year-old business, which acquired Integrated Home Technologies in 2011, provides premium A/V and whole-home control systems, including motorized shading and lighting systems to industrial, commercial and residential customers.
HTSA’s 64 members work with designers, architects, builders, real estate developers and consumers across 38 states.
Azione Unlimited has added two vendor members and two dealer members.
The vendor members are Cinema Design Group International (CDGi) and Séura.
CDGi of Boca Raton, Fla., designs, manufactures and installs custom luxury home-theater environments, which it markets to A/V retailers and custom home integrators.
Green Bay, Wis.-based Séura is a manufacturer of luxury technology solutions including TV mirrors, waterproof and outdoor TVs, and lighted mirrors. Azione now has more 25 vendor members.
And the buying group announced that Eric Thies, CEO of DSI Entertainment Systems, and Will Pisula, general manager of Encore Audio Video, have joined Azione as founding members with seats on the group’s 11-member advisory board.
The board presently consists of five vendor members and four dealer members. Two final dealer members are expected to be revealed later this month. Azione is on track to meet its year-end goal of 150 dealer members.
BrandSource, the $14 billion furniture, appliance and CE consortium for independent dealers, has developed a private-label credit card program with Citi.
The BrandSource credit card, available to consumers this month, offers lower rates and better terms for members, including a 12-month promotional rate of 1.99 percent and a 24-month no-interest promotion at a cost of less than 1 percent, CEO Bob Lawrence told attendees at the group’s spring summit last month.
The card will also provide Brand- Source customers with special rebates and offers, and a simple application process, including in-store credit approval.
