Headphones More Than $300 – Klipsch X11i

Klipsch calls its X series its “finest achievement in headphones.” To be sure, the company went for the high-end-minded consumer with the X11i, giving the in-ear model balanced-armature drivers, a milled-aluminum construction, and its patented oval ear tips. The ear tips’ oval design is meant to provide enhanced noise isolation as well as greater comfort.

When the company first unveiled the X11i in May 2013, it said they were its smallest and lightest headphones available. When asked why he thought the product had achieved such success, Mike Klipsch, president of global operations for Klipsch Group, told TWICE: “We achieved what no one has been able to do in the category and price point, which is exactly how we continue to succeed. The midrange of the Klipsch X11i in-ear monitor rivals that of headphones twice its price.

Frequency response for the X11i is listed at 5Hz to 19kHz, with sensitivity of 110dB and impedance of 50 ohms. A three-button in-line mic and remote on the flat cable provides control of iPhones, iPod Touches and iPads. Suggested retail is $349.
