Stamford, Conn. – Harman took the wraps off two AKG-branded
headphones today, both wireless models.
The AKG K 830 BT uses Bluetooth technology, while the K 840
KL uses Kleer wireless technology. Both feature a proprietary 3D-Axis2 folding
headband.
Details of the K 830 BT ($249) model include on-ear controls
for volume, music control and answering calls; eight hours of playback time;
and a directional microphone.
Details of the K 840 KL ($299) include uncompressed 16-bit
stereo audio over a 2.4GHz radio link, wireless range up to 65 feet, and the
same on-ear controls as the Bluetooth model. Battery life is listed as up to
two weeks with normal use.
Both are currently available.
