GoldenEar Adds To Invisa Series

DENVER – GoldenEar is expanding its Invisa series of architectural speakers with the addition of the line’s first single-speaker stereo model.

It’s suitable for in-wall or in-ceiling installation and comes standard with a round, paintable MagnetLock fastened micro-perf grille. An optional square grille will also be available. The low-profile grille fully covers the mounting flange.

The projected retail is $429 each. Shipments are expected in December.

The speaker features two proprietary High Velocity Folded Ribbon (HVFR) tweeters and one 6.5-inch bass/midrange driver with dual-wound voice coil.

The SP 652 uses one-piece driver/frame/flange construction to maximize performance and minimize its footprint, the company said. The design minimizes deleterious diffraction effects common in similar single-speaker stereo models that sink the drivers deep into the structure, the company said. The frame is made of marble-infused polymer.
