Frank Leaves Conn’s Board

Former Conn’s chairman/CEO Thomas Frank Sr. has resigned from the company’s board of directors due to ongoing health issues.

His son Tim succeeded him as CEO in June as part of a previously planned succession strategy, but undisclosed health problems forced Frank to also hand off his chairman’s title to longtime senior executive Dr. Bill Nylin at that time.

Nylin said in a statement: “We thank you for your great service to this company and acknowledge that you have been instrumental in building the successful operation Conn’s is today.”

“Through your leadership,” Nylin continued, “Conn’s has been able to provide outstanding employment opportunities and benefits for our employees, as well as providing products and services to our customers that they may not have been able to obtain otherwise. Your legacy of excellence and performance will remain as the cornerstone of our culture.”

Frank has held every key management position at Conn’s since joining the regional CE and appliance chain 50 years ago. He has been a board member since 1980.
