Englewood, Colo., –

Dish

said it is now shipping the Hopper, whole-home uber HD DVR it introduced at International
CES.

The Hopper, which features a 2TB hard drive and connects via MoCA/coaxial
cable to thin-client set-top boxes called Joeys placed in remote rooms, lets

The system also includes Dish’s new PrimeTime Anytime system that
records four primetime HD network channels, where available, and stores

It will also record up to six HD shows at a time.

The Hopper system is available through the Dish lease program.
New Dish customers who subscribe to the America’s Top 200 or DishLatino Dos  programming packages or greater can receive
one Hopper and up to three Joey units for free, including a standard
professional installation. The Hopper system requires a whole-home DVR fee of
$10 per month and $7 per month for each Joey.
