D-Link Unveils MovieNite Plus Streaming STB

Fountain Valley, Calif. – D-Link introduced Monday its MovieNite Plus streaming entertainment TV set-top terminal.

MovieNite Plus, model DSM-312,  will be available at an $80 suggested retail through select retail partners starting in July.

The device allows users to stream movies and TV shows at up to 1080p HD video quality, to a connected TV, from service partners including Vudu, Netflix, YouTube, Facebook and, coming soon, Hulu Plus.

MovieNite Plus also offers a range of other entertainment options, such a digital photo album using Picasa to share memories, and more than 130 channels and apps.

“Whether you are looking to stream the latest flicks from Vudu, catch up on your favorite TV shows available on Netflix, or just want to listen to some music from Pandora, our new MovieNite Plus offers a simple to use solution that delivers the biggest names in entertainment straight to your TV,” said Ken Loyd, director, consumer products, D-Link. “D-Link continues to deliver user-friendly entertainment solutions offering an unlimited amount of content at the best HD resolution for a great value.”

The MovieNite Plus is said to have a simple three-step setup process, and is equipped with built-in wireless and Ethernet connectivity to link to an in-home home network. Connections from the set-top to the TV can be made via HDMI output and composite audio/video.

MovieNite Plus features one-button navigation from the remote control for to Vudu, Netflix, Pandora and YouTube.

Mydlink-enabled Cloud cameras on a TV via the Mydlink app allows users to remotely monitor their home or keep an eye on kids or pets.
