Las Vegas – Case-mate announced at International CTIA Wireless 2010
today seven new iPad accessories, including the extension of its I Make My Case
online customization tool to the new Apple device.
Users on the I Make My Case
Web site can create their own original composition by remixing the designs of
internationally renowned graphic artists, including Joshua Davis, Deanne Cheuk,
Thomas Hooper, Matt Moore, Hannah Stouffer, Ray Frenden, Anthony Yankovic,
Nigel Dennis, Shadow Chen and Chuck Anderson, among others and more. Pre-designed
cases are available as well.
The cases, which originally
debuted for the iPhone at International CES, are created using a
state-of-the-art 3D sublimation printing process that, the company said, embeds
ink directly into the case so the image will not scratch or abrade with daily
use.
Case-mate also extended the
line to
BlackBerry 9700 and
8520 models
.
The new models became
available to order today. Predesigned cases are $34.99 and customized
made-to-order cases will be $39.99 per case. Finished cases will begin shipping
in mid-April.
Other new case styles include:

Tough, a hybrid case with
the dual-layer protection of a form-fitting silicone skin surrounded by an ABS
plastic shell;

Gelli, a lightweight colorful
flexible thermoplastic shell;
·
Felt Folio, which
sports a side opening, leather accents, additional accessories pockets and a
magnetic strap that holds the iPad in place;
·
Leather Commuter, made
of premium tan leather with magnetic locks embedded into the case for a sleek
protective fit;
·
Nylon Folio, with
black ballistic nylon folio that is splash-resistant; and
·
Stand, a collapsible,
snap-together stand that offers landscape and portrait modes for viewing.
The portfolio of iPad
accessories will be available in the second quarter and will range in price
from $20 to $80.
