Coby Adds 20th Anniversary Logo

Lake Success, N.Y.
– Coby Electronics said Thursday that in celebration of its 20th anniversary
this year, the company has issued a special commemorative logo and tagline.

Both were said to
have been designed to underscore Coby’s “longstanding commitment to producing
innovative and affordable products designed to complement every lifestyle.”

The 20th
anniversary logo features the tagline “Celebrating 20 years of
Excellence.”

Both are
positioned across the front of all Coby marketing and advertising materials and
will be placed on select product packaging throughout the year and into 2012.

In this milestone
year, the company has also expanded into new product categories while enhancing
models in existing ones.

Recent line
additions include Android-powered Coby Kryos Internet tablet computers and an
expanded assortment of flat-panel TVs with larger screen sizes and advanced
features including LED backlighting, Internet connectivity and 3D support.

The brand’s TV
assortment now offers screen sizes ranging up to 55 inches.

It also introduced
its first 3D Soundbar, with Wave Field Synthesis, which is an audio spatializer
technology that Coby said redefines conventional TV surround sound.

The company also
recently lowered pricing on its Coby Snapp pocket video camera line in a bid to
become a category stakeholder.

“Coby’s impressive
achievements over the past two decades are part of a larger corporate
initiative that has positively impacted many aspects of the company’s
operation,” stated Michael Paladino, Coby Electronics senior marketing manager.
“From the recent introduction of our new 10-inch Coby Kyros Internet tablet
with capacitive touch and the expansion of our top-selling TVs and Coby Snapp
range of digital camcorders to our exceptional executive team, we are working
to cement Coby’s long-term strategic vision and ensure continued broad-based
growth well into the foreseeable future.”

In addition to its
recent move to new, corporate headquarters in Lake Success, N.Y., this year saw
the restructuring of Coby’s senior management team with founder Young Dong Lee taking
the title of CEO and senior VP as Sam Oh was named COO. Well-known industry
executives Michael Troetti, Coby president, and Jodi Sally, marketing VP,
joined the executive team over the last year.
