CEA Sees Growth Through ’05

CEA is forecasting that the industry will bounce back from last year’s decline in sales with an average annual sales increase of 4.8 percent over the next four years, according to date being released today at the International CES.

Following this year’s expected sales rise of just 2.74 percent to $95.7 billion, CEA looks for the growth rate to improve to 4.5 percent in 2003 as sales crack through the $100 billion barrier for the first time.

Growth is seen accelerating to 6 percent in 2004, with sales at $106 billion, and rising 6 percent again in 2005 as sales top $112 billion.
