Dover, N.J. — Casio will ship an entry-level Exilim camera to dealers this May.
The 8-megapixel EX-Z9 sports a 3x optical zoom lens, 2.6-inch LCD screen, 23 scene modes (including the company’s previously introduced YouTube capture mode) and face detection.
Additional features include an anti-shake DSP, an easy mode for simplifying the camera’s menu items, 18MB of internal memory and VGA/30 fps movie capture.
The Z9 will be sold in pink, black, silver and orange for $159.
