Lexington, Ky. - Audio Authority launched its long-range HDMI extender kit based on HDBaseT technology.
The technology sends multichannel audio signals, uncompressed HDMI video signals, and control singles over a single 330-foot run of Cat-5e/6 cable.
The HBT200KIT will be the first of many HDBaseT products from Audio Authority, the company said.
Available at a suggested $519, the kit consists of one transmitter and one receiver. The kit is HDCP/EDID-compliant, and it supports supports video resolutions up to 2K/4K and refresh rates of 24Hz, 30Hz, 50Hz, and 60Hz. The kit also supports all HDMI version 1.4 features, including 3D, 48-bit deep color, and lossless multichannel audio in the Dolby TrueHD, dts-HD Master Audio and multichannel LPCM formats. RS-232 and IR signals are transmitted in both directions.
