Atlanta – Assurant Solutions, a leading provider of extended-service contracts, has introduced a new monthly protection program for netbook computers.
The program, available immediately to wireless carriers in all 50 states, covers accidental damage, theft, loss, mechanical breakdown, virus protection and technical support.
“We saw a need for a comprehensive protection program designed specifically for mini computers,” said Manny Becerra, president of Assurant’s wireless business, citing analysts’ forecasts for netbook sales growth of 127 percent year over year.
“We are continually searching for new services and products that will enhance the customer-carrier relationship,” Becerra said. “This program is ready for carriers to implement today – or in time for the holidays – as a new benefit for their customers and a new source of revenue for their businesses.”
