Torrance, Calif. –
Alpine announced it has added the Shopatron “Ship to Store” model to its
website.
The addition was said to
be part of the company’s ongoing effort to support its independent retailers.
The Shopatron model combines online order placement with in-person product
pickup, and is available for use by consumers and authorized independent Alpine
retailers in the U.S.
The product pages on
now allow consumers to purchase a product by clicking on the
accompanying button. Once the consumer is walked through the order-taking
steps, the system generates a list of authorized Alpine retailers based on the
consumer’s ZIP code, Alpine said, and the consumer can choose a location to
pick up the order.
