Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint are crediting customers for calls and texts made to and from Belgium in the wake of today’s terror attacks in Brussels. (T-Mobile already provides free texting to virtually all countries as part of its core Simple Choice plan.) In a statement, T-Mobile CEO John Legere said “I’m speechless. Our hearts are with everyone affected by the horrible acts of terrorism. Please take care of each other.”
“A number of U.S. wireless carriers are waiving fees for calls and texts to and from Belgium following the terrorist attacks in Brussels on Tuesday. The move was made in response to the attacks at Brussels’ international airport and in one of the city’s subway stations that left at least 30 people dead.”
