Jeff Bezos Planning More Amazon Retail Stores

Basking in the afterglow of his company’s first $100 billion year, Amazon founder/CEO Jeff Bezos told shareholders at the e-tailer’s annual meeting Tuesday that he’s “definitely going to open additional stores” beyond its debut brick-and-mortar bookstore in Seattle. “How many? We don’t know yet,” he said, describing the exercise as “an experiment.”

“The company’s CEO notes that Amazon was the “fastest company to ever reach” the $100 billion revenue milestone, adding that the Amazon Web Services unit is growing at an even faster rate.
