
Imagine an Alexa on wheels that uses advanced cameras and computer vision software to make its way through your home. That could be Amazon’s next iteration of digital assistant if a report from Bloomberg on a top-secret “Vestra” project pans out. Supposedly under development at Amazon’s Lab126 skunkworks operation, the household robot could be trialed in employees’ homes later this year and sold to consumers as soon as 2019.
