Arlington, Va. — The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) announced the launch of the Smart Home Marketplace presented by Bosch at the 2015 International CES.
CES will be held Jan. 6-9, 2015, in Las Vegas.
The Smart Home Marketplace will focus on the growing trend of consumers’ wanting and creating smarter and more efficient homes, CEA said. It will be located at CES Tech West in the Sands Expo (Sands), which will house nearly 25,000 square feet of exhibit space.
“With the rapid growth in the smart-home category, we are creating a dedicated area where attendees will find the range of smart-home technologies coming to market,” said Karen Chupka, senior VP, International CES and corporate business strategy, CEA. “More than ever, homeowners are embracing the convenience and comfort that technology can bring with customized access to appliances, lighting and heating, window coverings, irrigation, entertainment systems and more.”
Chupka added: “We are pleased that Bosch, an industry leader, is sponsoring this inaugural Smart Home Marketplace at the 2015 CES. We look forward to seeing the newest innovations within this burgeoning technology space.”
Major exhibitors located within the Smart Home Marketplace will include ADT, Archos, Bosch, Control4, Honeywell, Lowe’s, Lutron, Logitech, Wink, and the Zigbee Marketplace presented by the Zigbee Alliance.
CES Tech West, encompassing the Sands, the Venetian, the Palazzo, Wynn Las Vegas and Encore at Wynn (Wynn/Encore), will showcase revolutionary technologies in fitness and health, the Internet of Things, sensors and other high-growth categories changing the way we live, work and play, said CEA.
