Legrand | AV has announced the appointment of Darrin Thurston as Chief Technology Officer (CTO), a newly created C-suite position. Thurston’s promotion marks the first executive-level technology leadership role within Legrand | AV.
Effective Dec. 1, 2025, Thurston will lead the company’s global technology strategy, including portfolio expansion, strategic partnerships, and evaluation of potential mergers and acquisitions (M&A). He will also guide Legrand | AV’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) agenda, supporting initiatives that align technology innovation with sustainability and customer value.
A longtime Legrand | AV executive and former VP and GM of Vaddio and Luxul, Thurston has played a key role in advancing the company’s connected-technology initiatives and driving collaboration across its brands.

In conjunction with Thurston’s appointment, Mark Plummer has been promoted to Vice President & General Manager, Connected Platforms and Ecosystems, expanding his leadership to include the Vaddio, Luxul, Middle Atlantic Products, On-Q, and C2G brands. Nathan Bohl has been promoted to Vice President & General Manager, Display Infrastructure, assuming responsibility for the Da-Lite brand alongside Chief, SANUS, and Echogear.
Separately, Gary Hess will transition into a new role as Vice President & General Manager, Power, Access & Control within Legrand’s Data, Power & Control Division for Legrand North and Central America, effective Jan. 1, 2026.
