You’d better think twice before you mess with New Age Electronics.
That’s because Chloe Towns, daughter of the distributor’s president, Fred, is a national karate champion.
The talented teen copped first place for her weight class at USA Taekwondo’s 2016 National Championships last month in Richmond, Va., taking top honors within her field of sparring female black belts.
The younger Towns has studied the Olympics-level sport for the past 13 years, earning a third-degree black belt in June in a test that included a bare-fisted smashing of bricks.
But there’s no time for ice packs; Chloe will be competing for spots on national teams in the coming months, so the training and preparation continue.
Towns is the second daughter of the industry to win acclaim this season: Last month LG marketing VP Dave VanderWaal’s 12-year-old, Grace, melted hearts on “America’s Got Talent.”
