ADT Is Newest Principal Member Of Z-Wave Alliance

Security/smart home provider to also have seat on Board of Directors

The Z-Wave Alliance announced that ADT (NYSE: ADT), a leading provider of security, automation, and smart home solutions serving consumers and businesses, has joined the Z-Wave Alliance as a new Principal Member, granting them a seat on the Board of Directors.

As the newest Principal Member of the Z-Wave Alliance, ADT joins other industry leaders including, Assa Abloy, Leedarson, Ring, Silicon Labs, StratIS, and Qolsys in advancing Z-Wave technology.

“As a principal member of the Z-Wave Alliance, ADT will collaborate with other smart home industry innovators to advance standards that create helpful user experiences and are rooted in security and privacy,” said Raya Sevilla, senior vice president of product at ADT. “ADT has a longstanding history of contributing to smart home security standards development, and we’re eager to continue that tradition within the newly organized Z-Wave Alliance.”
