Jeff Fettig has been promoted at Whirlpool to the vacant corporate post of president/COO and has been named to the board of directors.
Bengt Engstrom, currently manufacturing and technology VP for Whirlpool Europe, has been advanced to executive VP and named to replace Fettig as Whirlpool Europe president.
Separately, Mark Brown, formerly VP/controller, has been named executive VP/CFO, replacing Ralph Hake, who has resigned to pursue other interests.
While he has held the European post for the last five years, Fettig is no stranger to the U.S. scene. He joined Whirlpool in 1991 and moved up through the ranks, holding posts as KitchenAid marketing VP and as North American Appliance Group marketing & sales VP.
