DXG Ships Sportster Camcorder

said last week it is now shipping to retailers its new Sportster series
of high-definition video cameras designed for shooting is range of rugged
outdoor conditions.

The DXG-Sportsters are offered in to design styles (horizontal
and vertical) and two maximum HD resolution levels. Both the horizontal and
vertical pistol-grip versions with up to 1080p/30fps video resolution will
carry $170 suggested retail prices. The horizontal version is available now and
the pistol grip version will ship in two to three weeks, DXG said.

Virtually identical 720p versions of both design styles will
carry $140 suggested retails. The horizontal version is shipping now and the
pistol-grip version is also slated to ship in two to three weeks.

All of the new Sportsters are said to be ruggedly built and waterproof
to a depth of 10 feet. For underwater recording the camcorders feature an
unusual “dive” button that provides fully automatic settings for adjust for changing
submarine lighting and color environments.

The “all-in-one HD camcorders” will also take quality 12-megapixel
still images under a variety of weather conditions.

The DXG-Sportsters come with 3-inch LCD displays, and USB/A/V and
HDMI outputs and cables.

Images are stored to 128MB of built-in flash memory or to SD
cards up to 32GB Class 2 or faster.

The camcorder is also designed for easy uploading of video and
images to social-networking sites such as YouTube or Facebook.
