BrandSource Summit Set To Break Attendance Records

The group will celebrate its 50th anniversary at the Nashville show.

BrandSource, the merchandising group for independent appliance, consumer tech and home furnishings dealers, is anticipating a record turnout for its annual Summit meeting and product expo.

The event, slated for March 1-4 under the banner “Better Together,” returns for a second consecutive year to the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, where parent company AVB will commemorate its 50th year serving retailers.

Rooms at the Opryland sold out earlier this month, the group said, and additional guests are being accommodated at nearby overflow hotels.

This year’s gathering will focus on innovations in BrandSource’s proprietary digital platforms; present a record number of educational sessions and workshops; and provide unprecedented deals during its Stampede show-special buying event.

After hours, attendees will also have the opportunity to soak in the music, culture and nightlife of Nashville.

“The 2019 Summit will be our best member event yet,” predicted BrandSource CEO Jim Ristow. “We are looking forward to celebrating our members and their continued successes, and we are eager to help our members grow their bottom line.”

The Summit will run concurrently with the ProSource Summit, held by BrandSource’s allied specialty electronics and custom-install group. Other branches beneath the member-owned AVB umbrella include the Canadian-based Mega Group; the rent-to-own TRIB; and the recently formed HFA Buying Source for furniture dealers.
