HiFiMan Debuts Its 1st Wireless Speaker

Also unveils new Bluetooth headphones

HiFiMan is helping consumers further untether with the launch of two new Bluetooth audio devices, including the company’s first wireless speaker: the $599 BA1000.

Compatible with such Bluetooth codecs as AptX, SBC (Subband Codec) and LHDC (Low Latency and High Definition Audio Codec), the 30-watt speaker measures 8.1 by 3.3 by 3.42 inches and weighs 3.7 pounds. Frequency response is listed at 65Hz to 35kHz and playtime at 72 hours.

The BA1000 will be available in March.

The company also announced a wireless version of its Ananda open-back planar headphones.

Priced at $1,199 and slated to ship in March, the Ananda-BT feature high-fidelity bit rates up to 24-bit, 96kHz via Bluetooth, and 24-bit, 192kHz when connected to the source with a USB-C cable.

Features include an onboard USB DAC and headphone amplifier; compatibility with AptX HD, SBC and LHDC codecs; frequency response of 8Hz to 55kHz; sensitivity of 103dB; and 13.5 hours of playtime.
