San Diego — Sony Electronics has introduced the SRS-X3 and SRS-X2 portable Bluetooth wireless speakers.
The compact SRS-X3 provides rich bass with an output power of 20 watts in a “Definitive Outline” geometric design characterized by sleek lines and smooth surfaces, allowing the wireless speakers to blend into any indoor or outdoor space while delivering high-quality sound, Sony said.
The SRS-X3 consists of two full-range speakers and two passive radiators, allowing for rich bass in a compact size, it added.
The two passive radiators are located at the front and backside. They feature ClearAudio+, a Sony digital signal processing technology that provides higher-quality sound, while Sound Mode delivers a wider sound stage.
Users can wirelessly stream audio with Bluetooth, and connect to mobile devices with one touch via NFC. With a built-in mic, the speaker can be used as a speakerphone for hands-free calling when paired with a mobile device. The built-in rechargeable battery offers up to seven hours of playback, Sony said.
The SRS-X2 also has an output power of 20 watts, but in a smaller design with rounded edges. Features include NFC pairing, Bluetooth, speakerphone and a rechargeable battery that offers up to five hours of playback.
Both speakers come in black, white and red. Both can charge via MicroUSB and include a USB AC adapter.
The SRS-X3 retails for $149 while the SRS-X2 retails for $99.99. They are available for pre-sale now and will be in stores in June at Sony stores, other authorized dealers nationwide and online at Sony.com/WirelessSpeakers.
