Round Slow-Melting ‘Craft Ice’ Now Available In 4 LG InstaView Door-in-Door Refrigerator Models

Up to 25 of the two-inch diameter ice spheres can fit in storage bin

LG Electronics USA has added slow-melting Craft Ice as an option to four of their InstaView Door-in-Door refrigerators. LG InstaView Refrigerators allow users to knock twice to illuminate the interior and see inside through the tinted glass panel in the door. This allows users to see what’s inside instead of standing with the door open while they choose their foods.

The two-inch diameter Craft Ice spheres are made automatically and up to 25 spheres can be stored in the freezer drawer bin. Craft Ice joins the crushed and cubed ice options, in addition to measured water dispensing technology. Craft Ice opens up a wider range of options for cocktail connoisseurs and home mixologists, while also keeping sodas, iced coffee and other drinks, cold longer.

“LG is no stranger to offering first-to-market innovations that help make life good with forward-thinking technology for the home,” said David VanderWaal, senior vice president of marketing, LG Electronics USA in a statement. “With the addition of LG Craft Ice to our award-winning InstaView Refrigerator lineup, the next step in the evolution of home entertaining is here to aid consumers with useful features sure to impress guests and make hosting easier than ever.”

The four InstaView Door-in-Door refrigerator models are available nationwide and users can download the LG ThinQ mobile app (formerly LG SmartThinQ), to manage their refrigerator remotely. Features of this smart appliance include alerts when the refrigerator door is left open, the ability to adjust fresh food and freezer temperatures, create additional ice and more. Additionally, LG smart refrigerators respond to voice commands via Amazon Alexa and the Google Assistant.
