Samy’s, New Leaf Sprout New Partnership

Samy’s Camera, L.A.’s iconic imaging dealer, has signed a multiyear deal with New Leaf Service Contracts, the Texas-based extended-service provider.

The pact will provide Samy’s customers with affordable service plans covering lenses, video cameras, computers, drones, cellphones and, of course, cameras.

The program will extend to Samy’s four Los Angeles stores and its satellite locations in San Francisco and Santa Barbara.

Samy’s exec David Dimont said the new partners developed a customized program that offers “flexible and innovative options for a broader product selection that supports Samy’s Camera’s continued growth in its markets.”

That flexibility will continue, noted New Leaf sales and marketing director Mike Tierney, as his company designs “future programs to support the needs of Samy’s customers as the rapidly changing consumer electronics market continues to evolve.”

Samy’s, founded in 1976, has become a mainstay in L.A.’s prosumer imaging market thanks to its knowledgeable staff, exceptional customer service, deep-dive educational programs, and an expansive assortment that also serves the local film industry.

The chain placed 80th on TWICE’s Top 100 CE Retailers Report with $30 million in sales last year.
