CEDIA Names 3 To Board Of Directors

Indianapolis — The Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA) has added three new directors to its board.

They are: Omar Hikal, CEO of Archimedia; Kris Hogg, founding director of U.K. integration company Konnectiv Technology; and George Walter, director of home entertainment for Christie Digita.

On the 2015 board, they join Federico Bausone, Robert Brown, Dennis Erskine, Hagai Feiner, Dave Humphries, Richard Millson, Terence Murray, Larry Pexton , Michael Pope and Joe Whitaker .

The board’s executive committee will be named in early 2015.

Hikal became CEO of Archimedia in 2010. Before that, he held various positions in information technology, sales, marketing and general management. He is a CEDIA-certified system designer and also a member of the CEDIA EMEA board of directors.
Hogg has been in the home technology industry since 2000. In 2010 he formed Konnectiv Technology , which performs work in large apartment installs as well as private client work. He was elected to the CEDIA EMEA board of directors in 2012 and currently serves as chairman of the EMEA board.

He has also served as a board member on the global IT industry trade associations, the Association of Service and Computer Dealers. It is based in the U.S. and lobbies at the government and manufacturer level in the U.S. and Europe to ensure fair trading practices and develop recognized industry standards.

Walter is director of home entertainment for Christie Digital, where he was responsible for launching the Christie Digital residential business unit. Before joining Christie, Walter spent 14 years with Digital Projection, where he launched the residential channel for Digital Projection’s projector line and eventually became VP of home theater. He has been a CEDIA member for 15 years, and also sits on the board of Azione.
