Now You Can Pay For Amazon Prime Through Your Monthly Sprint Bill

Consumers will be able to subscribe to Amazon Prime service on a monthly basis for the first time by adding a Prime subscription to their monthly Sprint wireless bill, Sprint announced.

Consumers will pay $10.99/month, which at an annual $131.88 is higher than a $99/year annual subscription available direct from Amazon.

“This is currently the only monthly option available to purchase Amazon Prime,” a Sprint spokesperson told TWICE. “With this monthly option, [consumers] can cancel at any time. This allows customers flexibility and choice with regard to entertainment on the go.”

The carrier last teamed with Amazon last November for a limited-time promotion in which Sprint offered one free year of Amazon Prime service with the purchase of select Samsung phones through Sprint stores.

With Amazon Prime, consumers get unlimited two-day shipping from Amazon with any-price order; the ability to stream Prime Video movies and TV episodes across device types including select media streamers and smartphones; access more than 1 million songs on Prime Music across devices, and thousands of free books via the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library; receive unlimited photo storage in the cloud; and get early access to Amazon deals, all at no additional cost.

The latest offer is available to existing and new Sprint subscribers through Sprint-owned stores, Sprint-run store-in-stores in RadioShack outlets, Sprint-brand stores owned by independent retailers, preferred/exclusive dealers, Carphone Warehouse, Sprint.com, and Sprint telesales. The offer isn’t available through national retailers.

Here’s what consumers need to do: Go to www.sprint.com/amazonprime, call 1-(800)-SPRINT1 or go to a Sprint store to add Amazon Prime to a Sprint account. Then complete the registration process by hitting an activation link sent via text message.
