GapCompare Tool Simplifies Printer/Copier Landscape

San Diego — Market research firm Gap Intelligence launched GapCompare on Tuesday, described as an online research tool to help dealers and distributors quickly identify competitive printer and copier products for head-to-head analysis.

“GapCompare makes perfect sense for printer and copier dealers who are often burdened to research their own products. With GapCompare, we are giving dealers time to do more selling rather than researching product information,” said Gary Peterson, president of Gap Intelligence. “This tool is a reflection of our commitment to helping manufacturers and dealers articulate competitive positioning, as well as increase productivity.”

GapCompare is said to deliver accurate and reliable street pricing and product specifications (including consumables and accessories) to highlight the competitive advantages of each product and differentiate them from competition.

The system is designed to offer a user-friendly platform with side-by-side product analysis, along with images for easy and simple product verification; comprehensive device, consumable, and accessories databases backed by Gap Intelligence research services; the ability to add, remove, re-order and save specification views; the ability to save comparisons and customized search parameters; the ability to export to PDF/Excel; and to share saved comparisons with colleagues

GapCompare joins the market research firm’s services and data licensing offerings, which include the GapTCO (total cost of ownership) suite.

GapTCO lets technology sales professionals quickly and effectively demonstrate their total cost of ownership value proposition to their customers while shortening sales cycles and driving revenue growth, according to Gap.
