Santa Fe Springs, Calif. — Westinghouse Digital said it is now shipping an unusual “flip-style” LCD TV, designed to fit in tight places such as kitchens and bathrooms.
Westinghouse Digital is betting that consumers will flip for its 16-inch PT-16H610S ($349 suggested retail) flip-style LCD TV designed for kitchens and tight spaces.
The PT-16H610S ($349 suggested retail) features a 16-inch HD flip-screen to meet the entertainment demands of today’s high-tech kitchens. The dual-hinged lifestyle HDTV can sit on a countertop or be mounted on a wall or on the bottom of a hanging cabinet, Westinghouse Digital said. The height and tilt can also be adjusted, and the screen and bezel offer full 180-degree rotation so the image is right-side up.
Features of the PT-16H610S include a built-in ATSC/NTSC/Clear QAM tuner, built-in speakers, lightweight and portable construction, PC input and stainless-steel finish. Native resolution is listed as 1,366 by 768 and inputs include HDMI. Westinghouse pointed out that when not in use, the TV can be used to display digital images like a digital picture frame.
