Concord,
Mass. – TomTom is rolling out a free lifetime roadside assistance program to
purchasers of its Start, Via and Go Live PNDs.
Because
consumers expect TomTom PNDs to “help get them safely and quickly to their
destination,” said sales VP Damian Woodward, “it is a natural extension for
TomTom to be there for them in case of a roadside emergency as well.”
The
program is available now with the Start PNDs and will be rolled out to the Via
and Go Live PNDs in the coming months
TomTom
defines a lifetime as “the earlier of the useful life of the Start navigation
device (four years) or until TomTom’s provider no longer provides the TomTom
Roadside Assistance Service.”
The basic
service includes dispatched roadside assistance anywhere in the U.S.,
emergency-services dispatching, repair facility referral and 20 percent off the
first tow up to $25. The service also refers users to a nearby repair facility
and includes discounts at stores around the country.
