Sirius Revamps Lineup

New York — Sirius Satellite Radio announced a new channel lineup to air Sept. 29 to accommodate new programming from Howard Stern and Martha Stewart.

Howard Stern channels 100 and 101 will offer a “build up” until Stern begins broadcasting in January 2006.Sirius said in a press statement, “Right now, preparations are being made and [Stern’s] studio is being built. A preview channel will keep fans updated on the progress.”

Martha Steward Living Radio, channel 112, will also launch and build up to a full schedule of shows covering topics including cooking, home keeping, pet keeping, gardening, collecting, crafts and weddings, Sirius said.

Sirius also revamped several other channels and improved its first traffic and weather service for New York and Los Angeles. It will devote individual channels to those cities, where other cities are grouped two to a channel, with alternative reports.
