Pinnacle Upgrades Studio, Adds Theme Pack

Mountain View, Calif. — Pinnacle Systems will release a new version of its Studio video-editing software and a new package of winter-themed templates this month.

Studio 12.1 adds support for importing and exporting QuickTime’s MOV format, expanded support for H.264-based camcorders from Aiptek and Sanyo, among others, and faster editing, the company said.

Alongside the new release, Pinnacle will offer a Theme Winter pack which includes 38 titles and 15 DVD menus, five Montage themes and 28 templates focusing on autumn, back-to-school, Halloween, winter, Christmas, New Year and Valentine’s Day themes.

The $79 theme pack will be available to Studio 12 customers for a limited time upgrade price of $39.99. The price promotion ends Nov. 6.
