Tewksbury, Mass. — Pinnacle Systems will ship its Studio MovieBox to dealers this month.
The software will be available in Plus ($119) and Ultimate ($149) editions, bundling a copy of Pinnacle Studio Plus 11 and Studio Ultimate 11, respectively.
Both editions supports HDV and AVCHD high-definition video formats. They can capture and edit HD video in its native format and burn finished movies to HD DVD or standard DVDs for playback on high-definition players.
Both versions of MovieBox can capture video from USB 2.0 devices and analog sources including 8mm camcorders, VCRs, TVs and set-top boxes. They offer a library of video effects which can be applied to all sources of video and can output to a number of platforms including iPods, PlayStation Portabless and DivX-enabled devices.
New for MovieBox is the Scorefitter music generator which uses 40 source tracks and audio samples to automatically create a soundtrack.
