Klipsch Opens Reference Series To e-Tailers

Indianapolis — Klipsch has opened up distribution of its premium Reference series loudspeakers to authorized e-tailers.

The new Internet distribution strategy will complement the company’s traditional brick-and-mortar sales channels, said sales VP Dave Rogers, and the online marketplace exposure will help make Klipsch more competitive in the industry by increasing brand recognition and building a broader appetite for high-performance home audio products.

Among the first direct sellers authorized to carry the Reference series is longtime Klipsch dealer Crutchfield, which has already begun selling the speakers online and will add them to its print catalog. “Choosing Crutchfield to sell our best-of-class Reference series online was a carefully planned decision,” Rogers said. “Quality is No. 1 for us, whether we’re developing products or choosing partners. The Crutchfield name is synonymous with award-winning service and support, so it made perfect sense for us to make them one of our select online retail partners.”

“This is exciting news for us and particularly great news for all of our home audio fans,” said Rick Souder, Crutchfield’s merchandising executive VP. “Many of our customers are extremely knowledgeable when it comes to speakers … Through this online partnership and inclusion in our catalog, we’ll now be able to immediately satisfy the needs of both those audio savvy customers and also the more casual speaker purchaser.”
