Integra Ships $600 Blu-ray Disc Player

Upper Saddle River, N.J. — Integra formally introduced Monday its first Blu-ray Disc player, the DBS-6.9, which was designed to BD profile 1.1 spec and features 1080p Deep Color and bitstream output of the latest audio codecs.

The Integra DBS-6.9, which is shipping now at a $600 suggested retail, features 1080p/24 fps video output, 1080p up-scaling of DVD material, HDMI CEC control, an SD card slot, Deep Color and x.v.Color expanded support, stereo analog-audio output, and built-in Dolby Digital and DTS Surround decoders.

The player’s HDMI 1.3 port enables bitstream output of all other surround formats approved for Blu-ray discs for processing by A/V receivers such as the DTR-9.9 or DTR-8.9, or DHC-9.9 A/V preamp-processor.

“We are very pleased to mark Integra’s first entrance into the Blu-ray Disc player category with the DBS-6.9,” stated Keith Haas, Integra’s sales director. “Our dealers have been eagerly anticipating its arrival, and we are very confident it will deliver on what they have been anticipating. The DBS-6.9 will provide exceptional audio and video performance in a feature-rich package that meets the high standards that our dealers have come to expect from all Integra products.”

Supported bitstream audio format output includes both Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio codecs for decoding in a compatible processor or receiver.

Other support formats include: CD, Video CD, CD-R/RW, DVD±R/RW, DivX, WMA, JPG and MP3-encoded discs.

The DBS-6.9 includes a front-panel SD card slot, necessary to take advantage of the Profile 1.1 Bonus View picture-in-picture capability, giving consumers access to the interactive content available on many Blu-ray discs.
