Glikes Forms Azione Advisory Board

West Chester, Pa. – Nascent buying group Azione Unlimited
has created a five-person advisory board comprised of five founding dealers and
manufacturers.

The founding members are:

  • David Daniels, Electronics Systems Consultants;

  • Mike Thul, Thul Electronics;
  • Andy Oxenhorn, JL Audio;
  • Keith
    Haas, Integra; and
  • Phil
    McPhee, Harman Luxury Audio Group.

The advisory board will serve as “the lighthouse” of the
organization, explained Richard Glikes, president and founder of the start-up
buying group for custom retailers and integrators. As such, the board will identify
industry trends, share business tactics and strategies, and provide feedback to
enhance members’ profitability, he said.

  The founding members
will convene via conference call every six to eight weeks and will meet in
person once a year prior to Azione’s national meeting.

Six additional founding members are expected to be in place
prior to the group’s rescheduled launch on Feb. 1, 2012.

Glikes, the former executive director of the Home Technology
Specialists of America buying group (HTSA), said 90 percent of Azione
applicants are not currently affiliated with a buying group, and that one-third
are retailers and two-thirds are custom integrators.

 “I am thrilled to
announce the first founding members,” Glikes said.  “These individuals represent the highest
caliber business leaders in the industry.
Combined, these men have over 150 years of industry expertise.”

Glikes described Daniels and Thul as “pioneers of the custom
integration business,” and said Oxenhorn, Haas and McPhee “bring world-class
leadership and vision from a vendor standpoint. These bright and successful
individuals will provide insight to guide our members to new levels of
prosperity.”
