D’Oh, TomTom Teams With Homer Simpson

Concord, Mass. — Now all TomTom devices can receive turn-by-turn directions in the voice of Homer Simpson through a $12.95 download.

TomTom said it teamed with Locutio Voice Technologies and Fox Licensing to offer the voice option that, Homer Simpsonstarting Tuesday, will allow users to hear directions such as, “Take the third right. We might find an ice cream truck! Mmm … ice cream,” in the voice of Homer Simpson.

TomTom president Jocelyn Vigreux said, “With Homer Simpson’s voice helping them to navigate their trip, TomTom customers will not only travel safely and with less stress, but will also be highly entertained along the way.”

TomTom personal navigation devices offer up to 70 preloaded voices in 36 languages.
