Casio's Tryx Makes Guinness Records' Book

9/22/2011 11:27:00 AM Eastern

Las Vegas - Casio
said Thursday that its Tryx digital camera first unveiled at
International CES last January has been named "the world's most adjustable digital
camera" by the Guinness Book of World Records.

Available now, the $250 suggested retail camera
features a 0.59-inch-thin variable frame design and designed to adapt to fit a
users preferred shooting style. The camera can be positioned horizontally to
capture still images or the rotating 3-inch touchscreen LCD can flip out as the
body swivels for a wide variety of shooting angles.

The frame rotates
360 degrees and can be adjusted so that the body can act as a tripod, allowing
Tryx to stand on its own, or the LCD screen can be rotated up to 270 degrees for
self-portrait shots.

The frame can also
flip out and the body rotated, enabling the camera to hang from a hook,
doorknob or other surface.

It shoots FullHD
1080/30p video and 12.1-megapixel stills using a back-illuminated CMOS sensor.
