Amazon has relaunched its pioneering Kindle and best-selling Kindle Paperwhite e-readers.
The new entry-level Kindle is 11 percent thinner and 16 percent lighter with twice the memory of the previous generation model. The price remains $79.99.
The Kindle features a more rounded design, to make it easier and more comfortable to hold in one hand at any angle for extended reading sessions, Amazon said. It adds a few new reading features including Export Notes and built-in Bluetooth audio support.
It is immediately available in black or white.
The new Kindle Paperwhite, the best-selling Kindle these days, features a high-resolution 300 ppi display, double the pixles of the previous model, and adds an adjustable front light. A new margin notes features lets users edit, delete or export notes from the device to a computer. Users can share highlighted sections and meaningful quotes on Facebook, Twitter and Goodreads, and see passages frequently highlighted by other Kindle readers.
The price remains at $119 and it is now available in white and the original black finish.
