LAS VEGAS – Viking has introduced three models into its Professional line of refrigerators and ranges at this week’s Design & Construction Week, here.
The ultra-premium Viking 7-series ranges feature the company’s 23,000 Btu Elevation Burners with brass flame ports brought over from Viking’s commercial product line.
Other features include a convection oven, greasemanagement system, ViChrome griddle, LED lighting, easy-close doors and slide-out racks.
The ranges are available in 36- and 48-inch widths in gas and dual fuel.

The Professional TurboChef 30-inch-wide oven can prepare food 15 times faster than usual, according to the company. The oven uses Viking’s Airspeed Technology to push air through the oven at almost 60 mph. In addition, bursts of microwave cooking take place when needed to speed up the process. The company stated that a 12-pound turkey can be cooked in 42 minutes, compared with four hours in a conventional oven.
Other features include 400 cook settings, the Cook- Wheel controller with seven Speed Cook modes, and a Cook Navigator Controller accessed via an LCD.
The new 42-inch-wide refrigeration/freezer comes in either a bottom-freezer or side-by-side configuration, both in stainless steel.
New features include interior LED lighting and the company’s Plasmacluster Ion Air Purifier to eliminate bacteria, mold and odors.
Other enhancements are a temperature-management system that quickly chills food to save energy, an odor eliminator evaporator to remove odor and humidity to extend food shelf life, and Viking’s Spillproof Plus shelves that contain liquids to the shelf area.
The refrigerators range in price from $6,949 to $11,699.
Viking has also added to its gas and electric cooktop line. The gas models offer 18,000 Btu burners, SureSpark Ignition System and scratch-proof grates. The 10 cook zone electric models reach top temperature in three seconds, and there is a bridge and tripleelement to fit odd-sized cookware.
The company also now has a 30-inch-wide French door double oven in its Professional line. Both doors on the 4.7-cubic-foot oven can be opened with just one hand and it has 11 different cook modes. The oven comes with three porcelain covered racks that can be placed in six different positions.
To top off its kitchen introductions are Viking’s ventilation hoods. The company’s 12- and 18-inch-high hoods come in a variety of sizes so they can fit all Viking cooking products.
The hoods have LED-backlit lighting and fan knobs; also featured in the hoods are heat lamps and ventilation.
The hoods come in 12 colors, including stainless steel. These are now available at Viking dealers.
