Old Lyme, Conn. — Sennheiser introduced a mobile headset designed for unified communications (UC) use.

The Presence Mobile series headset comes with a USB dongle and is optimized for use with Microsoft Lync for workers needing UC capabilities.

Features include three digital microphones; the company’s SpeakFocus technology, said to filter out background noise for improved call clarity; and WindSafe technology for wind-noise reduction.

It has an aluminum boom mic, 10 hours of talk time, an on/off slide and a $199 price tag. It is scheduled to debut Aug. 1.
