Research Triangle Park, N.C. – Lenovo’s new IdeaCentre Q190 all-in-one (AIO) desktop is so small it could be called a portable computer.

Lenovo has packed a fully functioning home-theater-centric AIO into the 0.84-inch-thick device, which overall is not much larger than an external hard drive.

Lenovo is marketing the $349 and more Q190, shipping in January, as a portable home theater. It supports full HD graphics, 7.1 surround sound, has an optional Blu-ray player and supports 3D Blu-ray playback.

The Q190 is about the size of an external hard drive.

It is powered by an Intel Core i3 processor, has up to 1TB of storage that can be paired with 24GB of solid-state memory, and comes with up to 8GB of RAM. The Q190 can be loaded with Windows 8 or Windows 8 Pro.

Lenovo also introduced several new members of its C series of AIOs that will ship in January.

The C340, C440, C540, C345 and C445 are geared as mainstream home entertainment computers. The C340/C345 are centered on a 20-inch display, while the C440/C445 feature a 21.5-inch screen. The C540 tops out with a 23-inch display.

The C340/C440/C540 can be equipped with up to a Core i3 processor and Nvidia’s GeForce 615 2GB graphics. The C345/C445 are powered by an AMD E2 dual core processor with Radeon HD graphics. These two models are also available in metallic red.

  • C340 - $499
  • C440 - $519
  • C345 - $479
