HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIF. – Fisher & Paykel’s DCS brand will introduce an enhanced counter-depth French door refrigerator that utilizes the company’s “ActiveSmart” sensorcontrolled technology and features an automatic ice maker, chilled and filtered water, and deeper door bins for larger items.

The Energy Star-rated fridge is slated to ship in December and will carry a suggested retail price of $3,199.

ActiveSmart continuously adjusts the flow of cold air into the fridge and freezer by sensing use and climate conditions in order to maintain optimum temperatures and peak efficiency.

Features include:

• high-quality, full extension runners on all drawers;

• a deli drawer for separate storage of cheeses, meats and defrosting items;

• a fruit and vegetable drawer with variable humidity control;

• clear storage bins; and

• an oversized freezer drawer and roll-out shelving with plastic bins for smaller frozen goods.
