WYNIT Distribution Features Emerging Technologies at iMAGINE Upstate Festival

Greenville, SC – WYNIT Distribution will be featuring emerging technologies such as 3D Printing and Virtual Reality at the iMAGINE Upstate Festival fueled by ScanSource on Saturday, April 2 from 11am to 5pm in Greenville’s Historic West End. iMAGINE Upstate is a celebration and showcase of innovative, creative and entrepreneurial activities surrounding science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM). WYNIT supports the festival as a Program Track Partner alongside Greenville-based companies such as Fluor, Bosch, Michelin, and General Electric.

Educational technology, often referred to as EdTech, is the theme of the WYNIT booth. WYNIT will host a station that will feature a Virtual Reality experience and products such as the Zeiss VR One and Kodak PixPro SP360 Camera. The Zeiss VR ONE Headset uses a Smartphone to generate the users’ virtual reality experience. The Kodak PixPro enables users to capture a spherical image, easily creating a highly interactive 360-degree video.

“We are proud to share with Greenville some of the technologies we bring to our retailer and value-added reseller customers,” says, Sarah Segrest, head of WYNIT Distribution’s Corporate Business Development. “We hope that teachers and families come experience the technology first hand to see how it can be used to learn, educate, and innovate.”

3D printing is a key element of educational technology. WYNIT will be featuring products from companies such as Printrbot, 3Doodler and Makerbot. Printrbot provides affordable 3D printers to makers, DIYers, and educators throughout the world. 3Doodler is the creator of the World’s First 3D Printing Pen. Makerbot is leading the next industrial revolution in desktop 3D printing for professional, educational, and home use. WYNIT will also have robotics and drone technologies on display.

“We work with these technologies every day and have developed a lot of unique subject matter expertise,” says Rick Slagle, VP of Procurement, Marketing, and Business Development. “We are glad that we can share some of our unique resources with educators and parents in Greenville through the iMAGINE Upstate festival. We are honored to participate along with so many other creative, innovative, and impactful Greenville-based companies.”

As part of the iMAGINE Upstate Festival, WYNIT will also hold a 3D printing seminar at Greenville Technical Community College for teachers and educators on April 7. Teachers and educators may RSVP via the iMAGINE Upstate website.

The iMAGINE Upstate Festival, which attracted more than 14,000 people in its last year’s inaugural edition, will run the entire length of South Main Street and into Fluor Filled. The festival will feature booth and exhibits from 83 companies, organizations, and start ups.
