Free Demos: Filming Narrative Dialogue (Audio, Lighting, and Camera Angles/Movement)
Thursday, January 21st, 2 Sessions: 12pm – 1:30pm, 4pm – 5:30pm

Join Daniel Norton, Adorama Pro’s senior lighting consultant and trainer, in a free workshop that explores shooting single camera narrative dialogue. Daniel will walk attendees through the shooting of a short dialogue scene; he will also cover audio recording, lighting, and camera angles/movement. As dialogue between characters plays an important role in most narrative films, this workshop is sure to benefit those who want an introduction to film production.

The first demo, which starts at 12pm, will cover lighting and audio recording, while the second demo, which starts at 4pm, will cover camera position, lens choice, and movement. Attendees will learn how to maximize the placement of light fixtures to suit multiple roles and hide microphones on set. They will also learn how lens selection and camera placement affect the overall mood of a scene.

There will be two unique sessions. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP to one or both sessions.
