ONTARIO, CALIFORNIA, United States of America – January 13, 2015 – Trident Case®, a leading manufacturer of stylishly designed but rugged mobile phone and tablet cases, today announced the introduction of its new Cyclops case for the Microsoft Surface™ Pro 3 tablet. The new case, which is designed to protect the Surface Pro 3 from drops, spills, dirt and moisture, was unveiled at CES 2015.
“Trident’s new Cyclops cases for the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 tablet is efficient and stylish, just like the device it protects,” Trident Vice President of Marketing Vickie Achee said today. “Designed with convenience in mind, the case guarantees superior protection with minimal bulk for every tablet user.”
Overmolded with TPE and polycarbonate, Trident’s Cyclops case for the Surface Pro 3 protects tablets against drops and other impacts while simultaneously boasting an ultra slim and adaptable design. The user-friendly case guarantees convenience as well, as it is compatible with all angles of the Surface Pro 3 kickstand. In addition, a removable cover port enables seamless use with the Surface Pro 3 Type Cover keyboard, while the case is still on.
To protect the device, vent openings prevent the device from overheating, while waterproof mesh covers speakers and openings to keep dust, dirt and moisture away from the device. Inside the case, protective lining provides extra padding in case of accidents.
Known for its optimal protection, Trident’s Cyclops series minimizes the added bulk without sacrificing device security. All bio-enhanced polycarbonate is recyclable, degradable and compostable, making it entirely eco-friendly. The Cyclops Case for the Surface Pro 3 is available immediately in white, black and pink with a MSRP of $99.95.
Trident Case is a part of Microsoft’s “Designed For Surface Program”, along with a select group of preferred, top-quality brands. “People are increasingly seeking devices that span work and play, can be easily managed and configured, and have the right software to get the job done,” Achee said. “We’re excited to participate in the Microsoft Designed For Surface Program for these reasons, and because it further demonstrates our commitment to serving the needs of customers relying on Microsoft devices and services.”
“The Designed For Surface program was created to address the growing demand for Surface accessories to complete a wide range of use scenarios in business, at home and on the go,” said Cyril Belikoff, Director, Microsoft Surface. “We look forward to working closely with our Designed For Surface Program participants to better serve their customers and create compelling solutions together.”
The Designed For Surface program allows accessory manufacturers to really embrace Surface as a 2-in-1 device and help people move seamlessly with their Surface between tablet and laptop experiences. Microsoft is working with leading manufacturers to develop accessories that make Surface more useful when touch is the interface of choice and even accessories that are thoughtful about incorporating the Surface Type Cover click-in keyboards and Surface Pen – elements that are unique to Surface open up a world of possibilities for helping people do more.
