Emerging retailers gain greater flexibility and visibility within their operations
SAN FRANCISCO (June 24, 2015) – Stitch Labs, the leading inventory control and multichannel selling solution, has announced new drop shipping functionality. Drop shipping is a fulfillment model that allows retailers to use wholesalers to fulfill part or all of their customers’ orders. Incorporating drop shipping into the existing inventory software will provide retailers the ability to expand product lines and leverage new distribution models without changing their existing workflows.
Drop shipping is often associated with businesses who want to enter a market or offer more product variety without incurring the capital expenses or risks of holding inventory themselves. Stitch gives its customers the insights and operational best practices they need to implement such a model.
“As retailers grow their businesses, it’s important they are built to scale,” said Brandon Levey, CEO of Stitch Labs. “Drop shipping can be a cumbersome amount of work as order volume increases, but with the capabilities we provide, our customers will be able to manage this process more smoothly and increase their visibility and automation.”
With this new feature, Stitch will automatically separate which items will be fulfilled through drop shippers, then with a few clicks can generate packing slips and purchase orders for those items and send an email from Stitch with the required information for the drop shipper to fulfill the order. This expedites the process and removes the opportunity for errors, resulting in a better experience for the retailer, the wholesaler, and their customers.
This feature is now available for all Stitch customers. For more information, please visit www.stitchlabs.com.
